Dedicated to the memory of Doreen Guntrip
This site is a tribute to Doreen Guntrip, who was born in Woolwich on August 25, 1928. She is much loved and will always be remembered. The RNLI Lifeboats charity was dear to her heart and she gave generously to it throughout her lifetime, especially as she loved the sea (and spent many wonderful holidays in Salcombe), but never learned how to swim!

Thoughts
"Mrs Guntrip", as I called Jo's mum, was always very welcoming and kind. My memories span from when visiting for tea, when at school to more recent visits, including helping with The Lasting Power of Attorney! She will be sadly missed but greatly remembered.

Doreen was a truly gracious and kind lady, who delighted in collecting antiques, and blue and white porcelain (her favorite color being blue), and was a fierce table tennis competitor; but most of all, Doreen was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who took immense pride in her family. To paraphrase Shakespeare: Her life was gentle, and the elements mixed so well in her that Nature might stand up and say to all the world, “This was a woman!" It was an honor to have known "Nanna London," and I extend my most sincere and deepest sympathy to the family. Love, Nancy [Nana Miami] Louis
